Families, Community, Educators, Therapists, 1st Responders

The YMCA of Greater New Orleans recognized the need for a regional collaboration integrating increased awareness and a focus on the educational, social, and recreational needs of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

In response to the needs of children and families in the region, the YMCA of Greater New Orleans is hosting Conference for ALL:  Autism Life Lessons.  Providing national speakers and workshops for members of the community, family, teachers and therapists who are touched by autism.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS - More announcements coming soon!

Chris Ulmer, Keynote Speaker

Chris Ulmer is the founder of the leading neurodiversity movement, SBSK (Special Books by Special Kids). Chris travels the globe meeting friends with a diagnosis and sharing their stories on social media. He believes that when we take the time to hear someone's story and view life from their perspective, we learn and grow as humans making the world a better place. Together Chris and the SBSK community are promoting conversations on acceptance and inclusion around the world.

Frank Campagna, Keynote Speaker

Frank Campagna aka "Autism Daddy" is the father to a 17 year old son with classic autism. He has been riding the special needs roller-coaster for over 15 years now and has been writing about his experiences and has become a social media sensation with his blog and Facebook page. His claim to fame is giving people a realistic, non sugar coated look at the world inside an autism household; the good & the bad... the pee & the poop. Frank has also worked at Sesame Street for the past 25 years, and worked closely on their recent autism initiative, Sesame Street & Autism: See Amazing in All Children

Lieutenant Jimmy Donahoe

Sergeant Jimmy Donohoe is the creator of the "Take Me Home Program", a database where participants who are unable to speak or properly identify themselves to police officers, register with a photo, physical description and contact information, so first responders can provide special assistance that may be required when contact with a person with autism occurs. He is also a parent of a young man with autism.

Captain William Cannata, Jr.

Captain William Cannata, Jr., retired, has been a member of the fire service for more than 30 years, and is the Program Director of "Autism and Law Enforcement Education Coalition (ALEC)", formed in 2003. He is also a parent of a young man with autism.
